As promised, I picked up some goodies for all my happy campers here on SO FAR, SO CHIC. I've also thrown in some 'candy'. Get me!
Can I just say how superior Duane Reade and similar are to our own highstreet Superdrug-type offerings. So much choice! Maybe it's because the US shops are new to me but I was very over-excited by them! Everything is vacuum-packed, which is both good for hygiene and bad for swatching. Over-packaging in general seemed to be the norm.
Giveaway includes:
Sinful Colors Nail Enamel in San Francisco (dark metallic green), What's Your Name (black with blue shimmer), Dream On (bright purple-pink cream) and Love Nails (metallic blue).
Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Crème Eyeliner in Aubergine.
CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara in Waterproof Black.
CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain in Everbloom Kiss.
Strawberry Twizzlers and Candy Corn.
To enter all you have to do is:
- Be a follower of the blog via the Google Friend Connect button on the right.
- Be a non-US resident.
- Tell me via comment your all-time best makeup/product discovery and what makes it so darn good.
- Leave your email address with your comment so that I can easily contact you if you win!
One entry per person.
The competition closes on 15 October 2010 at midnight.
Good luck y'all!

oh and i love your background (snap)!
What a great giveaway, I recently bought some Covergirl Lash Blast and wish I'd stocked up as really like it. My best 'discovery' has to be YSL Touche-Eclat for helping to make me look human when I'm getting ready at 6:30am!

ReplyDeleteOoh great giveaway. My best discovery has been Max Factor 2000 Calorie mascara. It's only £7.99 and I think it's very nearly as good as Lancome's Hypnose so I'm so glad I found a more affordable alternative.

Erase paste! I found out about this little treat only a few weeks ago when I reinvented my make up bag. Erm... makes my bumpy skin look porcelain perfect like a proper lady. (so tempted to put rimmel eyebrow pencil)

ReplyDeleteAs I told you before, my all time favorite is Démaquillant express yeux sensibles pour les yeux au bleuet by Yves-Rocher. Never ever changing it for anything else! :) Too bad it's not available in Ireland, but I'm shipping it from Poland, baby. It's that good.

ReplyDeleteMy all time favourite makeup find is Benefit Number 10. It's quite expensive for a blusher but it lasts sooooo long! I've had mine for almost two years now and I use it every day! I find it makes my cheekbones look so much higher and more defined. I also love it because it looks so good in winter and summer. Not to mention the cute packaging! I love American makeup!
Ooooh lash blast! I've been dying to try that, I'd love to win this :)
ReplyDeleteMy all time fave make up find is MAC's tinted lip conditioner in Petting Pink - no matter what else I try I always end up going back to this. It smells amazing, it moisturises my lips surprisingly well and the colour it imparts is just so flattering. AND it's not overly shiny, just giving a lovely sheen.

Ooh, those nail colours are divine!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite makeup item HAS to be Benefit's Hoola powder - now I'm a dedicated paleface (no tanning for me!) but this is the perfect contour colour for me and almost anyone else who has ever stolen it from my bathroom cabinet. It avoids the usual bronzer fate of being too orange or too brown, instead it adds a soft shadow to create subtle definition on my face (hello, cheekbones!). Lately I've been rocking it as an eyeshadow as well, just adding mascara for a natural look that still has a bit of smoulder.
Loving it long time!!

I think my favourite all time discovery was actually Cg lash blast. It's my most favourite mascara and it's so cheap! Unfortunately it's not that easy to get hold of in the uk!

ReplyDeleteMy fave all time make up discovery is probably Maxfactor false lash effect mascara, great lashes with one coat. Heard about the comparison with CG lash blast so would love to try it for myself.

It would have to be Tesco's own brand Vit E night cream....after trying out expensive moisturisers, I decided to go the complete opposite end of the spectrum and bought it on a whim - for 75p it was no big deal.Anyway, the stuff is AMAZING, my skin and feels so much better than Estee Lauder stuff I used to use (and break my bank balance with!) and I highly recommend!

My favourite all-time product is a really boring one, but it's Blistex lip relief cream - I always used to have horrible cracked lips which looked rubbish with lipstick, this keeps them lovely and soft, and it's really cheap too.
