Summer Planning: Bright, Bargainous Bikini

I spotted this bikini in Primark and couldn't resist buying it. I love the pattern and of course it was super cheap as well. It's always best to get your bikini buying in early so that you have the best choice!

Quick Review: Lunch at Dean Street Townhouse

I recently enjoyed a very, very rare non-work related trip to London and J came too. We got the coach from Cheltenham (cheaper than the train) and arrived around lunch time. I was frantically tweeting and googling on the way there trying to find somewhere a bit spesh for us to eat. Liberty London Girl raved about the day-time food at Dean Street Townhouse so I rang up and booked 'Debra' (as the guy on the phone thought my boyfriend was called) and I a table.

When we got to the restaurant it was absolutely heaving but had a fab buzzy atmosphere and reminded me of similar places in New York.

We sat at the bar unserved for a while as we waited for our table and eventually landed on a couple of glasses of white wine and were shown to our seats. The menu is kind of French Lite so not that much for vegetarians (me) but there were a few fish options. I fancied one of the starters; twice baked smoked haddock souffle. I ordered a side order of fries and some tenderstem broccoli as a token vegetable. J had the chicken, avocado and bacon salad (pretty good from what I gather).

We were brought a mini loaf of bread and a pat of butter while we waited for our mains. They emerged incredibly quickly, especially considering how rammed the place was. A very well-oiled machine!

My souffle arrived with its own tiny saucepan of the most delicious hollandais-ish sauce. This + souffle + fries + broccoli = heaven. You London bods have probably all been there a million times (it's quite the PR fave apparently) but for country pumpkins like me, I highly recommend lunch at Dean Street Townhouse.
